Claire’s adventure continues…
So it looks like Claire and the Potatoes want a trilogy! Here is the second installment and single for their album Have and Okay Time with Claire and the Potatoes.
Claire and the Potatoes?
You read that right, a brand new side project and band from Marc with a C himself. After seeing my animation for Danny Weinkauf, he hired me within minutes to do an animation for his side project Claire and the Potatoes. They have this awesome 60s Saturday Morning TV rock vibe, so he put all his trust in me and I had it in for the album’s release date. I hope you like it as much as they did

Dreams do come true- Here’s the proof.
I’ll try to keep this as short as possible! Many of you know my love for the band They Might Be Giants. On an AL TV from 1992 I traded over the internet back in 7th grade I found the music video “The Statue Got Me High“. Rewinding and watching that video dozens of times I was hooked, and my mom bought me the CD Apollo 18 that Easter. I was blown away… This band truly ended up getting me through middle school, and became a love still to this day.
Fast forward a few (17!) years- In the meantime TMBG had released a children’s album in a sort of dare called “No!“. It received a great response and a deal with Disney (Did I mention they won a Grammy for their third kid’s album Here Comes the 123’s?). In those albums their bassist Danny Weinkauf wrote a few of the songs. Even “I Am a Paleontologist” got onto a Payless Shoes commercial– Danny ended up recording, producing and releasing his album “No School Today” this year. Long story short, through his crowd funding campaign I got in touch with him offering any help with video.
Downplaying my excitement working with one of my idols here… He got back to me and we went back and forth what kind of project to work on. He ended up giving me the task to make a lyric video for “Cast My Vote.” The project became a payoff in my obsession with School House Rock and drawings of these characters I would make in grade school. He loved my storyboards and alas… it comes out today. Here is my animation of “Cast My Vote” by Danny Weinkauf. Enjoy
We Did It at SENE!
Frank and I screened our documentary Who Did It? The Clue VCR Game, now chock filled with music by the amazing Nathanael Tronerud, at the 2014 SENE Film Festival! It was a packed room, got an awesome response, and amazing Q&A.
Anyone need a day care?
My friend Adam Carbone and I recently decided we need to finally sit down and collaborate. I pitched the idea of a cable access children’s day care program- something my friends and I went off on during a very tiring WaterFire morning when they discovered I keep an Altoids tin of Tums in my backpack. We had it written within a week, shot and edited in two days…
We plan to make more when our schedules calm down, so stay tuned.
One Day… on RIPBS
Back in the winter of 2013, local filmmaker Carla Ricci and I revisited an old project of hers: Carolina, RI.
With hurricane season on its way, Carla wanted to lift and re-edit the story of the 1938 hurricane that hit New England, devastating RI and its coast. This project became One Day… The Story of a Storm.
And now you can see it in the comfort of your own homes on RIPBS!

Who Did It? The Clue VCR Game at RI Comic Con!
A couple years ago my friend Frank Durant tried getting the cast of the Clue VCR Mystery Game together for the first Rhode Island Comic-Con.
Believe me, I asked the same question- What the hell is the Clue VCR Mystery Game?
It was a little before my time, but Parker Brothers kept the production of their first VCR video game locally in Wenham, MA (and the sequel in Newport, RI). Frank couldn’t raise the funds to get them together, so about year later after a meeting I asked Frank, “What’s going on with Clue? We have all their contacts… If they can’t come to us, let’s just go to them.”
A week later Frank had the interviews lined up and a small budget from the RI Comic Con. The premiere event was at the Second Annual RI Comic Con on November 3rd!

We just had a meeting on it’s future plans for festivals and online release, so keep checking in for updates. We’ve been getting great feedback on the documentary, and I can’t wait for you all to see it.
